Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL Collection Tin 2013 - UPDATED 06 03 2013

March 7 2013 is the release date of a Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL Collection Tin 2013 which will be similar to a 2012 Premium Collection Tin.

2013 ZeXaL Collection Tin

In March 2012, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Premium Collection tins gave Duelists a whole new way to upgrade their Decks, with a trimmed-down, no-packs product format composed entirely of new and variant cards. In 2013, we’re taking this model to the next level – with the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Zexal Collection.

Each Zexal Collection tin comes with 3 Ultimate Rare variants of existing cards, plus 11 ALL-NEW cards from a special, 21-card set. And unlike last year’s Premium Collection, the power level on these new cards in Zexal Collection is out-of-this-world! All contents are also based on TV: previously-unreleased cards used by Yuma and Kite, the main characters of the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal animated series.

These new Monster, Spell, and Trap Cards can work in any Deck, or tie in especially well with the other Yuma and Kite cards seen in products like the 2011 and 2012 Starter Decks, Generation Force, Photon Shockwave, Order of Chaos, Galactic Overlord, and Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy (new May booster release). So you can see this tin is a must have for both the core and casual player of all ages!

Each Zexal Collection tin comes with 3 Ultimate Rare variant cards, 4 all-new Ultra Rare cards, and 7 all-new Super Rare cards.

Right, here we have for some real news – not available anywhere
(yet)!

Konami are making a new set which looks quite interesting –
see announcement below. It will probably be European-one set (not confirmed but
very likely).

Yu-Gi-Oh! Star Pack will feature a lot of cards that have
been shown on the first 20 Episodes of the Zexal Anime.

In addition to the Zexal cards, also included are a few
cards from before Zexal, which were never released before in Europe.

All 50 cards are available in 2 Versions, Common and
Starfoil. Each Booster contains 2 Common cards and 1 Starfoil card.

It's been a year since our last major update, and it became a bit boring here at YuGiCo as of late... so we decided to stir it up a bit....

As you've noticed, the front page looks different now incorporating a "news feed" that is relevant to YOU.

If are a registered user, you will be presented with the latest updates about your cards/posts/blogs etc and the news from your friends. This should make it easier to communicate with your friends and check the comments left for your content (ie the cards that you created)

This is test mode, please bear with us and report any bugs that you might notice.

It's just the first of many extra features and improvements that are coming - stay tuned.

If there is a particular feature or improvement you think will be useful, please let us know and we'll try to add it.

10 cards that get most star votes in January will win valuable YuGiOh cards prizes:

New printing option added to YuGiOh Card Creator

Dear Friends

As many users have asked how they can print out their created cards, we have now added a Print button for all created cards. It should print out your cards on your printer with correct size matching standard YuGiOh card (maybe 1/2 mm more to allow for cutting out).

You can print them on thicker carton, if you printer allow, or print on normal paper and glue to a common YuGiOh card to get your own custom created card.

Of course you could print them out before, but it was a rather awkward and difficult multi-step process. Now you can do it in an instant.

We have tried it in different browsers and OS and it works wonders, but please let us know if you encounter any issues with it (we hope not!).

Any feedback is welcome as always.

Hidden Arsenal 5 Steelswarm Invasion Special Edition

Twilight Zone: The Shining Darkness

With the release of the new set of 100 cards on May 11th 2010, players of the YU-GI-OH Trading Card Game are now offered a whole lot of new and powerful cards to play with. Examining the new set, "The Shining Darkness", duelists will soon realize the potential held within the new spells, traps and monsters with the introduction of two new arch-types Watt and Genex while others will notice a marginal boost to their current decks including the infamous Blackwings and the deceivingly weak Infernities.

While the set contains cards for almost any deck it is clear that the main focus is to push Infernities up to competitive play with several new monsters, spells and traps to ultimately boost the speed of play. Notable cards include "Infernity Mirage" which allows the player to quickly swarm the field for control, "Infernity Launcher" allowing insane dump-and-swarm and "Infernity Barrier" acting as a very powerful cost free all-purpose negation. This is most definitely the chance for Infernities to break through to the top of the ladder as they are becoming very popular in the Japanese meta.

Blackwings remain as a top tier deck type as a further nine cards are added to the collection. Fans will become familiar once again with the addition of the extremely fast "Blackwing – Breeze the Zephyr", a quick-draw card "Cards for Black Feathers", and a new cover card Synchro; "Black-Winged Dragon", to counter card effect damage. We’re sure to be seeing a lot of Blackwing decks about especially in tournaments.

Aside from all the existing deck support, the new arch-types definitely put on a show. The Genex monsters will provide Synchro players with card consistency by introducing the new "Genex Neutron", which grants any Machine-Type Tuner to be searched working like an improved gadget. On the other hand, Watt monsters are splashable in growing Thunder type decks (including several Battery Man cards in this amazing set) with "Wattgiraffe", being able to dish out some flexible damage that may just win the game. These just might make a worthy investment to Battery Man decks.

Several great cards to watch out for are all the new X-Saber support cards and the new ritual monster "Herald of Perfection", which can negate the activation of any card with the cost of discarding a Fairy type monster making ritual monsters much more playable since both "Senju of the Thousand Hands" and "Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands" are both fairy type. It may also be noted that there are many fantastic side deck cards such as "Chaos Trap Hole" negating monster summons for the two most popular attributes to date and "Intercept Wave" blocking all damage from offending Synchros and removing them from the field. "The Shining Darkness" is sure to have a huge impact on the game offering even more speed to the fast paced card game containing many new cards to push a duelist to victory. Where this set succeeded greatly in the OCG, we will still have to wait and see what this holds for TCG.

September 2010 Banlist Changes

So as some of you may now, the banlist for September 2010 has been 100% confirmed for OCG by various sources. That said, TCG would be no different (excluding the TCG exclusive cards of course) so this will be a brief overview of what to expect in this new format from players. First of all let’s look at the list changes:

Looking quickly at the Forbidden cards, you can see that Rescue Cat has been finally banned after dodging many formats. We will expect X-Saber decks and Synchro Cat decks to be slowed down and in addition the release of the newest set The Duelist Revolution introducing Naturia beast cards and tonnes of new beast support do not win any points. Substitoad is quite intense going from unlimited to a completely ban; this has definitely finished off Frog OTK and slowed Frog Monarchs hugely. Heavy Storm seen in the ban list took everyone by surprise as the card has been seen across the Yu-Gi-Oh meta as a staple card to any deck since the beginning of the game. The banning of Storm could be an open opportunity for Stall decks and Burn decks to rise to fame. Brain Control has often been seen as a game taker by taking the strongest monster on your opponent’s field and beating them with it and it is no surprise to players that it is no longer playable.

Many players have been complaining that Infernity decks are too "broken" with their amazing speed and everyone had expected that either Infernity Launcher or Infernity Archfiend be hit hard in September; guess it was Launcher this time. Black Whirlwind being the most powerful card in Blackwing decks has been revoked to one copy slowing down the infinite search power of Blackwings. Monster Reborn being highly controversial has been again brought back from the forbidden section so we hope to see more careful play of the graveyard from now on. With Heavy Storm, it seems a card that has been forbidden for a very long time has emerged to take its place: Dark Hole possessing the ability to destroy multiple monster cards. The most popular anti-meta card Royal Oppression is now surprisingly limited to one, it will be interesting to see players find an alternative around this. Notably, an unreleased OCG card has also been restricted to one Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier so if we see this on our banlist, we may just expect its release soon.

Even being one of the most powerful cards in the game, Chaos Sorcerer has not been very popular in the current format but now that it is semi limited, some light may be shed for this powerhouse card, perhaps Lightsworns again? An older control card Snipe Hunter has been returned to two copies most likely in preparation for the OCG popular Fabled arch types. Another card to backup the banning of Heavy Storm, will now be played at 2! If played tactful enough, it may just win you the game. Burn decks seem to be fed insanely in this format-to-be now that Ojama Trio AND Magic Cylinder are semi-restricted! This is definitely a Burn deck nasty format!

Perhaps Zombie decks may see a return too now that Goblin Zombie is unlimited. Cyber Dragon has returned to 3 since Synchro monsters can now be summoned by many different means. Treeborn Frog at 3 is a little strange seeing as 2 was plenty enough and Substitoad is now banned but surely they will come in handy one way or another. Black Rose Dragon now unlimited does not appear to be too game changing seeing as only 1 is usually pulled off per duel and Dark Holes return holding equal potential. The very unpopular card, United We Stand is now unlimited and perhaps still unused since players questioned it being limited at all. Royal Decree is also unlimited possibly acting as the new anti-meta trap in this trap-heavy format. So maybe Burn won’t be all wins?

All the changes in this new list seem to indicate a more control format rather than the current speed format (plenty of ways to one turn kill). One notable thing is that Gladiator Beasts and Machina Gadgets seem to be completely untouched so we’re sure to still see them around. Heavy Storm is probably the most widely questioned card to be banned leaving many opportunities for players to set up huge combos and bluff out their opponents. Burn decks seem to be a major focus at the moment with cards added back and Storm out of the way. Decks we may expect to see less of would most definitely be Infernities and Frog Monarchs. Some things to look out for could be Lightsworns, RFG (Remove from game) and the obvious, Burn. It’s hard to say how the list will turn out for us and our TCG exclusives but with many more new sets to come, this is sure to be an interesting format of skill and control.
