LEGENDARY SIX SAMURAI - SHI EN
The card is one of the most vital cards in the new Six Samurai decks, possessing the capability to negate any
spells or
traps once per turn, while also saving itself from battle by sacrificing other face-up Six Samurai
monsters. It’s stats are actually quite good too: a 5-star
synchro monster requiring 1
Warrior type
tuner and 1 or more non-
tuner “Six Samurai”
monsters. His attack is 2500 and defense is 1400, so attack wise, we stands up on the same level as
Stardust Dragon, but his defense does leave something to be desired.
His weaknesses, although very few, are also somewhat a very steep
gamble: beware of
spell and
trap cards that cannot be reacted to (i.e.
Super Polymerization). Decks that use a card such as
Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste, who requires one
dragon synchro plus one
warrior type, can easily use Shi En as a material through the use of
Super Polymerization, so be prepared with back up cards to help protect Shi En.
Overall? I give this card an 9.5/10 rating for its incredible
spell/
trap negate and destroy
effect and descent attack for a 5 star
synchro monster, but his defenses leave a lot to be desired, so watch out for cards such as
Book of Moon which can knock out his
effects altogether, or for cards like Superpolymerization or
Nordic Relic Laevateinn
