Play tips for this YuGiOh Card

• If used the right way, this card can be very effective in a Final Countdown deck. This is because the deck already has so much Stall elements in it that adding "Ancient Forest" would still slow down your opponent's offense as their attacking monsters get destroyed.
  • You can also use either Zero Gardna or Waboku to further slow down your opponent's offense, because not only will their attacking monster be destroyed, you will also not take any damage from the attack.

• Attack with Yubel, which will be destroyed because of this card, so that you can summon Yubel - Terror Incarnate and then repeat the process, if you wish, in order to Summon Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare.
  • (Keep in mind that neither "Yubel" nor "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" will be able to inflict damage to your opponent if you attack with them.)

• Use this card in a Gladiator Beast Deck, as you can return the cards at the end of the battle phase, meaning that they will not be destroyed.

• This card can be used for or against Earthbound Immortals. Since you cannot attack "Earthbound Immortals", "Ancient Forest" can keep them from attacking you. However, this card can also help activate the effects of the other "Earthbound Immortals", Earthbound Immortal Aslla piscu and Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua.

• This card can also be used in combination with Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest or Manticore of Darkness. That way, you can still have a fairly strong Beast left on your field after attacking.

• This card can be used with Evil Hero Malicious Fiend.

• Use this with Ancient Fairy Dragon so before you attack destroy this card and gain life points. Then use Regulus to bring back "Ancient Forest" and play it after you attack.

• This card alongside with a Macro Cosmos/Dimensional Fissure and a D.D. Survivor/D.D. Scout Plane will allow you to have a constant attacker.

• Use with monsters that are unaffected by Spell Cards like Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6.

• This card can be effective in a Bad Reaction to Simochi/Nurse Reficule the Fallen One deck, or any stall deck, to keep your opponent from attacking or to keep your opponent's field relatively clear.

• You can force your opponent's monsters into attacking with Staunch Defender or Battle Mania. Combine this combo with "Yubel" to inflict damage to your opponent.

• You can use this card in an Inca Deck, as many cards in that Archetype require them to be destroyed for their effects to work.

• Use this card in a Plant Deck, with Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis and Seed of Flame for major burn damage and Special Summoning capabilities.

• Use this card in a Normal Monster Deck, in combination with Non-Spellcasting Area, so only the opponent's monsters will get destroyed.

• Use this card to help summon a Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes.

• You can use this card to change all your opponent's monsters to attack mode. Then you can attack and before you end the battle phase you can active Scrubbed Raid to send this card to the graveyard and prevent the destruction of your monsters.

• You can use this card to change all your opponent's monsters to attack mode and attack with Mist Valley Falcon to return this card to you hand and use during each turn.

• This card combos really well with Alector, Sovereign of Birds. When you want to attack, have your "Alector" Negate the Field Spell's effect, and attack at will. When you end your turn, the Field Spell will regain its effect, making sort of a spear and shield type offensive strategy.

• You can avoid the destruction of your monsters, while harming your opponents by using cards like Interdimensional Matter Transporter.

• Using this card in an Alien Deck would be helpful to set off the Effects of Code A Ancient Ruins and Snake Whistle.
  • It could also lessen the impact of using cards such as Viper's Rebirth, Mysterious Triangle and Offering to the Snake Deity as they're going to be destroyed either way. This also leads back to the previous point of using "Code A Ancient Ruins" and "Snake Whistle".

• Use Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier's effect to return this card to your hand to avoid destruction effect, and then activate it again during Main Phase II so it can only destroy your opponent's monsters.

• Using a Spirit Reaper together with All-Out Attacks, Spirit Barrier and this card will grant your opponent's Special Summoned monsters shall get a very heavy damage upon getting them to the field.

• A good way to raise a fair bit of burn damage is to have a Spear Cretin in the Graveyard and another one on the field in face down defense. With this card on the field wait for the opponent to Special Summon then activate All-Out Attacks and Coffin Seller.

• This card works really well in a Crystal Beast deck, as it can fill up your Spell & Trap Card Zone fairly quickly. You may need to build the deck around the card, though, since Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins is the better Field Spell Card choice.

• Use this card to switch monsters in attack mode, then Special Summon Ancient Fairy Dragon and use her effect to destroy this card to then attack.

• When your opponent swarms the field, use Demise of the Land to activate this card from your deck. If they decide to attack, they'll be left defenseless next turn, or it will deter the opponent from attacking with their strongest monster.

• Combine this card with Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem: Attack with "Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem" and then have this card destroy it. Then, Special Summon Ancient Gear Golem and attack again.
  • Use Limiter Removal to create an OTK.
