Play tips for this YuGiOh Card

• This card works very well against Synchro Monsters, Fusion Monsters, and Xyz Monsters because it will take a long time to summon them back to the field.

• If your Penguin Soldier is not destroyed when its Flip Effect activates, you can use it to return the card itself to your hand along with one other monster, and then re-Set it on your next turn; better if you have another Penguin Soldier on your side of the field.

• This is an useful card to bring back with Salvage.

• This card combos well with Magical Hats. If your opponents attack hits Penguin Soldier, you can bounce the two Spell/Trap cards you placed on the field to your hand, essentially letting you search two Spell/Trap cards from your deck.

• Penguin Soldier can be searched via Sangan Witch of the Black Forest.

• This card becomes extremely useful and powerful (1950 ATK) in a deck revolving around Wetlands.

• Using 1 Volcanic Queen and 1 set Penguin Soldier, you can contantly return both monsters to your hand, to remove your opponents strongest and most dangerous monsters from the field. This can also be done with Lava Golem instead of Volcanic Queen (Or use both for a nasty tribute burn strategy)

• To add more pressure to this card's effect you can activate Enervating Mist, Chain Energy, or Heavy Slump.

• It's effect can be good with Degenerate Circuit.

• If you use Morphing Jar ^#2 and are lucky enought to set 2 Penguin Soldiers, you can return to the hand almost all monsters summoned by your opponent.

• This card works well with Spring of Rebirth, the least you would gain would be 500 points.

• This card teams perfectly with Ordeal of a Traveler and Card Destruction . Even if your opponent guesses well his/her monster will be returned to his hand. Then you can discard it.

• If your opponent controls one of your monsters (such as through Creature Swap or Creature Seizure) you can use this card to return that monster to your own hand since you are the owner of that card.

• This card works well in decks that have only level 4 or lower monsters, such as a Kinetic Soldier deck. Use Gravity Bind to stop enemy monsters attacking, set the Penguin Soldier, flip it up every turn, and return 1 of your opponent's monsters, and return the Penguin Soldier. Repeat the process.

• This card is wonderful for reusing your flip effects. If you can keep Penguin Soldier and another flip effect monster from being destroyed, you can use the same effect multiple times. You can flip one monster over, use it's flip effect, then flip Penguin Soldier, return them both to the hand, and set them again. This works even better if you have Ultimate Offering active. This combo is can be devastating if you use things like Needle Worm, Man-Eater Bug, Magician of Faith, Skelengel, etc.

• Combo this card with Vengeful Bog Spirit so when your opponent summons a monster, it cannot attack your facedown Penguin Soldier and then on your next turn, you can return this card and the summoned monster, creating a small lockdown.

• This card is good in Decks like Anti-Meta, Stun (Anti-Meta), or Decks that get rid of Spells/Traps.

• Combo this card with Greenkappa, Tornado Bird, Mobius the Frost Monarch, Jinzo, Trap Stun, Giant Trunade, or even Royal Decree.
