Rulings for Mirage KnightYu-gi-oh! Card

"Mirage Knight" cannot be Normal Summoned or Set, and cannot be Special Summoned EXCEPT by the effect of "Dark Flare Knight". So "Mirage Knight" cannot be Special Summoned with "Monster Reborn", etc., even if Special Summoned properly first.

"Mirage Knight" can be Special Summoned by "Dark Flare Knight"'s effect even if "Skill Drain" is active, because "Dark Flare Knight"'s effect activates in the Graveyard. However, "Mirage Knight"'s effects are negated by "Skill Drain".

When a "Mirage Knight" that was involved in battle is flipped face-down, it is not removed during the End Phase.

When a "Mirage Knight" that was involved in battle is removed from play with "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" or "Dimensionhole", it is not removed from play during the End Phase by its own effect.

Play tips for this YuGiOh Card

  • There are several ways to dodge this card's effect. You could play Book of Moon (or Ready for Intercepting) to flip it face-down and cancel out the effect, activate Imperial Iron Wall, remove it from the field with Interdimensional Matter Transporter, or, if it comes to it, use Skill Drain or Light-Imprisoning Mirror to negate the card's effect.
  • Note that this card gains the original ATK of the monster it battles, not its current ATK. Since there are several monsters with low original ATK that boost it via effect, be aware of what you are attacking. A good example of this is Great Maju Garzett, which can easily boost its own ATK above 4000, but has an original ATK of 0.
  • Use this card with Imperial Iron Wall.
  • You can double this cards effect and inflict severe damage with Honest.
  • Since the effect of Dark Flare Knight is required to Summon this card, you could use Instant Fusion to get Flame Swordsman Summoned, then Fusion Summon "Dark Flare Knight". This way, you don't need to add any Fusion Material Monsters for "Flame Swordsman" to your Deck.
