Play tips for this YuGiOh Card

• Summon Lava Golem or Volcanic Queen, giving your opponent a monster with 0 ATK for Water Dragon to attack.

• You can destroy Water Dragon with cards like Ring of Destruction and attack with the monsters summoned by Water Dragon's effect.

• Use Destruct Potion on this card, and you'll gain 2800 Life Points while summoning its 3 components back to the field.

• A lesser known deck/combo is to use Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude's" effect to use Bonding - H2O, which next turn will get this card's effect with no cost.

• You can summon The Creator and use his effect to get your Hydrogeddons and Oxygeddons back from the Graveyard after they've been destroyed. It will make it easier to summon Water Dragon, because you don't have to worry about them getting destroyed.

• Destroy all the cards on the field with Levia-Dragon - Daedalus when Water Dragon is also on your side, and you will automatically summon its components to the field, giving you an almost-certain OTK.

• When this monster gets destroyed anyway, you get to Summon the 2 Hydrogeddons and 1 Oxygeddon from the grave, then you'd gather 3 Tributes for Gilford the Lightning or Beast King Barbaros, turning the tide on Duel.

• Do not use DNA Surgery or DNA Transplant to set all monsters on the field to Pyro or Fire, as Water Dragon's effect also affects your own monsters, and will make all of them useless for attack.
  • However, Kishido Spirit, Heart of Clear Water, or similar cards can work if you want to try this.

• It's also implied that the combo above can leave yours and your opponent's monsters weak against other monsters that aren't affected by trap cards.

• Alternatively, combine DNA Transplant with ways to change monster Attributes, like Homunculus the Alchemic Being or Scroll of Bewitchment. If those effects are used after DNA Transplant, you can have non-FIRE monsters. For maximum efficiency, throw in a Final Attack Orders.

• You can have, on your side of the field, a monster that is unaffected by trap cards, like Elemental Hero Wildheart. They will be immune to the effects of DNA Surgery/DNA Transplant.

• This card is able to be summoned by Bonding - H2O even if it is in the Graveyard, so you never need to have more than one copy of it in your deck. Additionally, it has no use in your hand (though it can still be summoned by Bonding - H2O), so Card Trader or Trade-In can be used to prevent a Dead Draw.

• This card works very well against Volcanic decks, since all monsters in the Volcanic archetype are Pyro and Fire-type monsters.
