This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 3 Fiend-Type monsters on your side of the field. Each time your opponent Normal Summons a monster(s), Special Summon 1 "Phantasm Token" (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 1000/DEF 1000) on your side of the field. This token cannot declare an attack. Once per turn, by Tributing 1 monster on your side of the field, increase the ATK of this card by the original ATK of the Tributed monster, until the End Phase of this turn.

Rulings for Raviel, Lord of Phantasms Yu-gi-oh! Card
You can Tribute face-down Fiends to Special Summon "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms".
Tributing 1 monster is a cost to activate this card's Ignition Effect. You cannot Tribute this card for its own effect.
Summoning a "Phantasm Token" is a Trigger Effect that activates when the opponent Normal Summons a monster. The activation of this effect can be chained to.
If "Skill Drain" is activated, any "Phantasm Tokens" on the field still cannot attack. (Also, while "Skill Drain" is active, "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms" will not generate any more "Phantasm Tokens".)
A "Phantasm Token" cannot be forced to attack with a card effect like "Dark Spirit of the Silent" or "Amazoness Archers".
If your opponent Normal Summons a monster in a chain using "Ultimate Offering", resolve all effects in that chain, then activate the effect of "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms" to start a new chain. If the Normal Summon for "Ultimate Offering" was Chain Link 2 or higher, you still activate the effect of "Raviel". It does not miss the timing.
If all of your Monster Card Zones are full, this card's effect will activate, but if there are no available spaces when the effect resolves, the effect is not applied.
If an effect is chained to turn "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms" face-down, or remove it from the field, the "Phantasm Token" will still be Special Summoned when the effect resolves.

Play tips for this YuGiOh Card
- Out of all 3 Sacred Beasts, this monster may be the simplest to summon, because Fiend-Type Tokens can be used, as well as regular Fiend-Type monsters:
- After you Summon the Metabo Tokens with Metabo Globster you can immediately Tribute them to Summon "Raviel".
- Summon Kuriboh and activate Multiply. Tribute three of the Kuriboh Tokens to Special Summon "Raviel".
- Activate the Trap Card DNA Surgery and select Fiend. Then play Scapegoat and tribute your Sheep Tokens in order to play "Raviel".
- Normal Summon Phantom Skyblaster while you already control one monster. "Phantom Skyblaster" would Special Summon two Skyblaster Tokens when it is Summoned, which you can then Tribute "Phantom Skyblaster" and the two generated tokens to Special Summon this card.
- Use the effect of Nightmare Archfiends, and use Owner's Seal or Remove Brainwashing to take control of the Nightmare Archfiend Tokens.
- You can use Puppet Master to easily summon this card.
- Giant Germ, Tour Guide From the Underworld and Dark World cards help Special Summon this card.
- Phantasmal Martyrs is designed to help summon "Raviel".
- You could also use A Feather of the Phoenix to put "Raviel" from the grave to the top of your deck and then activate Phantasmal Martyrs, so you'll get "Raviel" on your next draw (so long as nothing interferes with the draw and the tokens).
- Use Light of Intervention so your opponent must always normal summon generating Phantasm Tokens.
- Special Summon Evil Hero Infernal Prodigy and activate Inferno Reckless Summon to get 3 copies of "Prodigy" out, tribute them all for "Raviel".
- You can also Special Summon Grinder Golem with its effect (summoning 2 Grinder Tokens) after summoning "Prodigy".
- Use this in a deck with Dark Necrofear in it. Special Summon using the tributes used for "Raviel".
- You can also easily Special Summon this card by first Special Summoning "Dark Necrofear", then activating Return from the Different Dimension and using the Fiend-type monsters that you banished as tributes to "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms". You can even use "Dark Necrofear" herself as a tribute. In Traditional Format, this also works with Dimension Fusion.
- This card's ATK is the highest one for a Fiend-Type monster when used as a Fusion Material monster for Evil Hero Dark Gaia.
- The tokens this card generates can be used for Synchro Summoning Hundred Eyes Dragon.
- Goblin King gets extra ATK for each token as well as from Raviel itself.
- Use Token Stampede to protect your tokens and give Raviel a bigger boost.
- Use Dark Ruler Ha Des in combination with Raviel, and/or any other Fiend-Type monster you control to protect yourself from undesired effects, such as Man-Eater Bug, Yomi Ship, Cyber Jar, and many, many others.
- Use the FLIP Effect of D-Boyz to get 3 copies of the card on your field; use them to bring Raviel, Lord of Phantasms out. Highly cost-effective in terms of Card Economy.
- If you're planning to summon "Raviel" with Phantasmal Martyrs, one method of doing so is a combo with "Phantasmal Martyrs", Plaguespreader Zombie and Card of Safe Return.
