Rulings for Neo-Spacian Glow MossYu-gi-oh! Card

This effect activates when the attack is declared. It is a Trigger Effect and can be chained to. The act of drawing and revealing a card is resolved when the Trigger Effect resolves. If a face-down "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" is attacked, its effect does not activate.

The Spell Card effect ("…You can change this attack to a direct attack instead") only works when "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" is attacking. Not when it is attacked.

If a Spell Card is drawn and revealed, and you choose to convert the attack to a direct attack, it causes a replay.

If "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" attacks directly with its effect and "Skill Drain" is activated in response, "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" can no longer attack directly and (another) replay will occur.

If "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" is attacking, and a Trap Card is drawn and revealed for its effect, it changes to Defense Position and is no longer considered an attacking monster, so damage calculation is not performed.

If a monster attacks a face-down "Ancient Lamp", and "Ancient Lamp" re-directs the attack to "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss", the effect of "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" will not activate, because the effect of "Ancient Lamp" causes it to miss the timing.

This effect does not target.

Play tips for this YuGiOh Card

  • This card can be searched via Sangan, Last Will, Witch of the Black Forest, Shining Angel, Lonefire Blossom, Violet Witch and Botanical Girl.
  • Neo-Spacian Glow Moss works well with Convulsion of Nature before attacking.
  • Use in combination with D.D. Designator, Mind Crush, Trap Dustshoot and cards of that nature to dispose of the cards your opponent draws.
  • Use Mist Body or Heart of Clear Water and Spirit Barrier so you can prevent losing life points from other monsters while directly attacking. With this you can win by Deck Out or lowering Life Points.
    • You can even use Greed to speed this up if it's an important strategy in your deck.
  • This card could work in an Exodia Deck when used with Appropriate.
  • This card is an excellent defense against a Lightsworn deck. Since the deck naturally runs many monsters, you will often end the Battle Phase. The extra draws can also lead to the Lightsworn deck running out of cards sooner.
  • Cards like Phoenix Wing Wind Blast and Raiza the Storm Monarch can help with controlling what cards your opponent draws with this Card's Effect.
  • The effect of Glow Moss activates before Damage calculation so you can use cards such as Honest or Hedge Guard depending on the card drawn right after it resolves. Due to the mostly defensive nature of this card, your opponent might not be expecting something like Prideful Roar to be activated during the battle, so you may be able to decive them!
