You can Tribute 1 Warrior-Type monster to Special Summon this card from your hand. If you do, it gains ATK equal to the Tributed monster's original ATK.
You can Tribute a face-down Warrior for "Turret Warrior", and it will still gain the appropriate ATK.
You can Tribute a Warrior-Type Token monster to Special Summon "Turret Warrior", or a card like "Embodiment of Apophis" that is currently a Warrior. "Turret Warrior" still gains the appropriate ATK in these cases.
If you Tribute a Warrior with variable ATK, like "Evil Hero Dark Gaia", the original ATK is treated as 0 so "Turret Warrior" gains no bonus ATK.
Tributing a Warrior to Special Summon "Turret Warrior" is not a cost; both the Tribute and the ATK increase are part of the effect.

Play tips for this YuGiOh Card
- This card can be searched out by Sangan, Giant Rat, Warrior Lady of the Wasteland and Chaos-End Master.
- Note that summoning this monster from the deck will mean you don't get to use its effect. However, it's still a level-5 monster, which can be fuel for a Synchro Summon or a Xyz Summon.
- Use DNA Surgery to turn monsters into Warrior-types to summon this card.
- Easy-to-summon tributes include Goblin Attack Force, Zombyra the Dark and The Unfriendly Amazon.
- You can give further support to their summons if you summon Marauding Captain first. This also lets you choose between tributing "Marauding Captain" or the summoned monster for "Turret Warrior", depending on how you want the ATK to be split up.
- If you Special Summon The Fiend Megacyber using its own effect, you can Tribute it for "Turret Warrior" without using up your Normal Summon. (Keep in mind that your opponent must control at least 2 more monsters than you.)
- Six Samurai Decks can get strong Turret Warriors out because of their ability to easily summon strong Warriors like Grandmaster of the Six Samurai and Great Shogun Shien.
- Likewise, Elemental Heroes or Destiny Heroes can benefit from this card.
- Use Fake Hero to get Elemental Hero Bladedge or Elemental Hero Neos out for a strong "Turret Warrior".
- The one monster in the game that would increase this card's ATK to its maximum is Rainbow Neos, but it is hard to summon and because of its effects it is not worth the sacrifice unless you desperately need a monster with 5700 ATK and "Rainbow Neos's" effects are somehow useless.
- Similarly, a strong Warrior to tribute, though rather difficult to bring out, is Gate Guardian.
- Descending Lost Star can provide a high-ATK Warrior easily. Pick cards like Goyo Guardian or Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth to give this card a huge power up.
- Summon Junk Synchron and Special Summon a level 2 Warrior-type monster back from the Graveyard, then Tribute the Special Summoned monster to summon "Turret Warrior" and Synchro Summon a level 8 Synchro Monster.
- Alternatively, Synchro Summon Junk Warrior with the level 2 monster and tribute him for "Turret Warrior".
- Junk Berserker is the highest-ATK Synchro Monster you can get with this Tuner. Check its tips page for how to summon it easily.
- You can also Special Summon any Lv2 or lower Tuner Monster with "Junk Synchron", then Tribute "Junk Synchron" for "Turret Warrior", enabling an easy Lv6 or 7 Synchro Monster. This is specially useful to bring out Turbo Warrior, Nitro Warrior, Moon Dragon Quilla and similar monsters which require a specific Tuner and need 5 levels worth of non-Tuner Monsters.
- Discard Level Eater to Special Summon Quickdraw Synchron, revive Level Eater through its own effect, and then Synchro Summon Junk Warrior. This gives you a strong monster to tribute for Turret Warrior without using up your Normal Summon.
- Use Gilford the Lightning to tribute 3 monsters and destroy all monsters on your opponents field. Then, tribute Gilford the Lightning to summon Turret Warrior and do 4000 ATK damage.
- By tributing a D.D. Survivor while Macro Cosmos/Dimensional Fissure is on the field, "Turret Warrior" will have 3000 ATK and "D.D. Survivor" will return during the End Phase.
- Tribute Koa'ki Meiru Rooklord to get a 4000 ATK monster. By doing this, you don't have to worry about fulfilling Rooklord's maintenance cost, you've already destroyed two cards thanks to his effect, and you have an overall stronger monster.
- On that note, "Turret Warrior" can be used as the maintenance cost for Koa'ki Meiru Bergzak when "Koa'ki Meiru Rooklord" is not an option.
- This card can accumulate a high ATK value, considering its Level-5 status. With only one Demotion equipped, it will be able to slip past Gravity Bind or similar cards.
- Add a second "Demotion" to make this card eligible for Opti-Camouflage Armor for massive damage.
