Play tips for this YuGiOh Card

• This card can be searched via Summoner's Art.

• This card can be Special Summoned with great ease with Skilled Dark Magician, Birthright, Silent Doom, Ancient Rules, Swing of Memories, Tribute Doll, Sage's Stone, Magical Dimension, or Dark Magic Curtain. You can use Spell Economics with Dark Magic Curtain to avoid having to pay Life Points.

• The most rapid way to get out Dark Magician using Sage's Stone is to use Magician's Circle when one of your (or your opponent's) Spellcasters declares an attack, and summoning Dark Magician Girl with it. At the end of the battle phase, use Sage's Stone. If you want, you can then tribute the Dark Magician for one of its upgraded forms, which will also power up the Dark Magician Girl.

• This card can be Tribute Summoned with one Tribute, using either Double Coston, Dark Effigy or Special Summoned with one tribute using Tribute Doll.

• You can use Star Blast to Normal Summon this card without Tributing.

• You can Tribute this card for Eradicator Epidemic Virus

• While you have Skilled Dark Magician on the field, play Summoner's Art to add a Dark Magician from your deck to your hand. Then, play Ancient Rules to Special Summon it, then finally, United We Stand to power up Dark Magician. This gives Skilled Dark Magician 3 Spell Counters, allowing you to summon yet another Dark Magician to overwhelm your opponent.

• Elemental Hero Prisma works well in a "Dark Magician" deck because "Elemental Hero Prisma" can be a substitute for "Dark Magician" when using cards like Dark Magic Attack, Thousand Knives and Knight's Title.

• You can Special Summon Dark Magician with Magical Dimension, then attack with it, then use Dedication through Light and Darkness to Special Summon Dark Magician of Chaos, and attack once again with that, dealing up to 5300 points of Battle Damage.
