Play tips for this YuGiOh Card

• Masked Dragon, Twin-Headed Behemoth, Soul Exchange, Double Summon, and Gilasaurus are recommended cards to summon "Slifer" faster.

• In games like Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2008, you can use Destiny Hero - Dasher's effect to summon "Slifer" upon drawing it, but the 1 turn only Special Summon effect still applies.

• This card works well with Infinite Cards as it's effect allows you to exceed the six card limit so the number of cards you hold can become very high.

• Light of Intervention and Final Attack Orders paired with "Slifer" can make for an unbeatable combo, since Light of Intervention forces both players to play all their cards face up and Final Attack Orders forces all face-up monsters on the field in to attack position so even if the summoned monster survives Slifer's effect to reduce the attack points of an opponent's monster by 2000 or if less destroying it the monster is forced to stay in attack position therefore major damage can be done.

• You can combo this card with Crush Card Virus to make sure your opponent won't be able to Normal Summon any monsters.

• You can use Card of Safe Return in combination with Manticore of Darkness to draw as many of your cards as you want to increase this card's ATK to immeasurable heights.

• If "Slifer" is sent to the graveyard for some reason use cards like Monster Reincarnation or Pot of Avarice to get the card back into your Deck or hand so its effect will not cause it to be destroyed at the end of your turn.

• Monsters such as Spirit Reaper, Shiba-Warrior Taro, and Marshmallon are useful monsters to summon this card, as they cannot be destroyed by battle.

• This card can be combo'd with Chainsaw Insect, The Bistro Butcher or Destiny Hero - Defender along with Appropriate to grant extra power to it more often.

• Use Reckless Greed to get more attack power immediately.

• Use Morphing Jar and The Shallow Grave to recycle it so that you can keep this card's attack power high.

• This card could work well with Koa'ki Meiru Drago.
