Play tips for this YuGiOh Card

• Since "Monster Reincarnation" is the "watered down" version of the card Monster Reborn, it does have a few advantages over the latter. It can be used to bring back monsters that cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard, such as Dark Ruler Ha Des and Spirit monsters. It can also be used to bring back Exodia the Forbidden One if it gets into the Graveyard as it cannot be returned to your Hand by Backup Soldier since it is an Effect Monster.
  • One downside to this card is that the card you get back has to be from your own Graveyard.

• Due to the discard cost for this card, this card can also be useful in placing cards in the Graveyard that work better there as well as retrieving Monsters, such as Elemental Hero Necroshade or Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor.

• This card is better than "Monster Reborn" Call of the Haunted etc in Cyberdark Decks, since you can use both effects to your advantage. Discard a Level 3 or lower Dragon for the cost to get a Cyberdark Horn, Cyberdark Keel or Cyberdark Edge back to your hand. Normal Summon it and then you can automatically drag the Dragon back to the field and equip it to your revived "Cyberdark" card. Also a good way to get high-level Dragons in the Graveyard for Cyberdark Dragon.

• Since you can return the card you Discarded as the Cost back to your Hand, this works great with Makyura the Destructor in Traditional Format as you will activate the effect and get him back for another round.

• "Monster Reincarnation" is also good to use if your opponent destroys a Lava Golem you gave to them as you can use "Lava Golem's" effect again and Special Summon it onto their side of the field.

• Another useful use of this card is for Lightsworn and Twilight Decks to mill just the right monsters into your graveyard while picking up whichever Monster you want to Special Summon (this applies more so in case of a "Twilight" deck, then that of a "Lightsworn" Deck you want).

• This card works great with flip effect monsters, as you can return one to your hand, and set it so that you can flip it later and use the monster's effect.

• This card is fitting to use in a Scrap Deck due to the combo of Scrap Chimera and Scrap Beast. In addition, you can still use it to do some recycling of other vital Scrap monsters.

• This card can also work well in Gemini decks to get your effect monsters such as Featherizer and Knight of the Red Lotus back to your hand, and a Gemini in the Graveyard.

• This card works well with Foolish Burial to add any monster from your deck to your hand.

• Use this card with Fabled Krus in your hand by discarding it as a cost and returning it to hand with Monster Reincarnation effect and then summoning level 4 or lower Fabled monster from your Graveyard with Fabled Krus effect.

• A great combo with this card is, while having "Monster Reborn" in hand, use "Monster Reincarnation" to bring back a monster from your Graveyard and discard a high ATK monster such as Blue Eyes White Dragon or a monster with a great effect such as Jinzo, finally, use "Monster Reborn" to Special Summon the monster your discarded. This works great to create potentially strong loops with Dark Magician of Chaos.

• Combine this card with Magician of Faith and Sinister Serpent for an infinite defensive loop.

• This card works better than Premature Burial in "Cyberdark" Decks.
