When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, its ATK and DEF increase to become twice its original ATK and DEF. When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster.

"Darkblaze Dragon's" effect doubles its original ATK and DEF to create a new current ATK and DEF.
"Darkblaze Dragon's" effect that doubles it original ATK and DEF to create a new current ATK and DEF disappears when "Darkblaze Dragon" is removed from the field or flipped face-down.
If "Skill Drain" is face-up on the field when "Darkblaze Dragon" is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, or if "Skill Drain" is activated after "Darkblaze Dragon" is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, "Skill Drain" will negate "Darkblaze Dragon's" effect that doubles its original ATK and DEF to create a new current ATK and DEF. If "Skill Drain" is later negated or removed from the field, the original ATK and DEF are not doubled again.
If "Darkblaze Dragon" has its original ATK and DEF doubled to create a new current ATK and DEF and "Shrink" is used on the "Darkblaze Dragon", the current ATK of "Darkblaze Dragon" becomes half of its original ATK. (its ATK would be 600 and its DEF would be 2000)

Play tips for this YuGiOh Card
- This card can be searched via Sangan, Last Will, Witch of the Black Forest, UFO Turtle and Masked Dragon.
- Using Painful Choice or Future Fusion you can quickly dump 3 Darkblaze Dragons into your Graveyard. If you used Future Fusion, you must also send 2 other Dragons to your Graveyard because they would have be the Fusion Material Monsters to create Five-Headed Dragon.
- You can use Foolish Burial to send Darkblaze Dragon from your Deck so that you can later Special Summon it to activate its effect.
- You can use Decoy Dragon to Special Summon Darkblaze Dragon from your Graveyard, its effect will be activated and redirect the attack to Darkblaze Dragon.
- Special Summon this monster with Masked Dragon. Then, when it gets destroyed by battle and send to the Graveyard, use Time Machine or Ribbon of Rebirth to Special Summon it immediately. You can also use Rope of Life but Darkblaze will not gain the 800 ATK boost.
- Discard 3 copiess of Darkblaze Dragon from your hand for Montage Dragon to increase Montage Dragon's ATK by 6300, and then easily use Monster Reborn or Decoy Dragon to special summon a Darkblaze Dragon with an ATK power of 2400 from the graveyard.
- Combine Darkblaze Dragon, Special Summoned from the graveyard, with Big Bang Shot in order to give Darkblaze Dragon the ability to deal damage while the opposing monsters are in defense mode as well as its own special ability which deals damage equal to the opposing monster's ATK points.
- After you search this card with Masked Dragon, you can tribute it with Advance Force for Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon so you can Special Summon this card from the Graveyard and activate its ATK/DEF-doubling effect.
- Tribute this card to summon The Creator while Advance Force is on the field, then activate it's effect to resummon it with 2400 ATK.
- Special summon this card using Masked Dragon, then Synchro it with The White Stone of Legend for a level 8 Synchro monster and a Blue-Eyes White Dragon for your hand.
