Play tips for this YuGiOh Card

• Use in combination with King Tiger Wanghu to destroy monsters easily.

• This card is basically a very Splashable--can be used with almost any deck--defense strategy. With it, even your opponent's most powerful monster's attack will be crippled. In fact, the average monster won't have ATK higher than 2200 or so after this card's effect.
  • Always use 3 copies. You'll have good odds of drawing it (in a 40 card deck) and decent odds of using multiples at once (with would ruin your opponent's offense).
  • In most decks, the strongest monster is a high level monster with high ATK, so this card will make them nearly useless, unless their effects compensate the ATK loss.

• Use this card in Decks whose monsters lack attack power, but still need to attack (like Gladiator Beasts).

• This card severely limits the effectiveness of Black Whirlwind.

• Use this card against your opponent's Fortune Ladies. Since "Fortune Ladies" gain attack based on their level, they are severely weakened by "Burden of the Mighty". Having 2 or 3 copies on the field leaves all but the strongest "Fortune Lady" with 0 attack.
  • Alternately, use it with "Fortune Ladies" to compensate for their so-so stats.

• This card is very useful in Koa'ki Meiru decks since they tend rely on their own high original ATK instead of equip spells. This card is even more useful if you also run Iron Core Armor.

• In a Warrior Aggro Deck, you combine this card with The A. Forces to get a rampaging frontline.
  • This card also helps while using Royal Decree to increase the effectiveness of Decks like Six Samurais. A Great Shogun Shien shall be a great beatstick in this kind of Deck.

• Use in a deck that uses low level monsters such as Skull Servants.
• Xyz monsters' lack of levels make them inmune to this card, making them the perfect counter against this card, through they may not be the best Extra deck monsters in terms of ATK, they will most most likely be stronger than the rest of your monsters with levels.
